Question:
Exactly How Will Invisalign Straighten My Teeth?
Answer:

When your orthodontist or dentist starts your treatment, they will first take molds, x-rays and pictures of your teeth.  All of this information is used to create a treatment plan and series of aligners that are each shaped slightly different.  Each aligner will gently move your teeth into a new position, every two weeks, until you treatment is complete.

Question:
Is Invisalign for Everybody?
Answer:

While Invisalign can help a great number of patients straighten their teeth and has helped over 1.5 million people, it cannot help everyone.  There are cases that the misalignment or condition of the teeth are in such bad condition that only braces can adjust the teeth to the correct places they need to be in.

Question:
It’s Just Plastic, How can it Correct my Teeth?
Answer:

The thermoplastic design of Invisalign allows gradual teeth movement through controlled force.  The movement of each tooth is carefully mapped out by your dentist or orthodontist, only allowing specific teeth to move during certain phases of the treatment.

Question:
What Are Invisalign Aligners Made Out of?
Answer:

Invisalign is made from a clear, thermoplastic material that is BPA free.

Question:
What do Invisalign Aligners Look Like?
Answer:

Invisalign has the appearance of a teeth-whitening tray.  It is also clear and custom-made to fit your teeth only so that it is almost invisible.

Question:
Why Should I Choose Invisalign?
Answer:

Invisalign aligners can offer you a number benefits that braces can’t:

  • Invisalign is clear and unless they look closely, people won’t be able to tell you are wearing it.
  • Invisalign aligners can be removed; this is the greatest advantage that Invisalign has over braces.  They still need to be worn for the 20-22 hours a day, but can be taken out so that you can continue to enjoy your favorite food, play contact sports and can easily clean both your teeth and aligner in less time than it would take to clean your braces.
  • Invisalign is smooth and will not cut or irritate the inside of your mouth like braces will.
  • Because you will be the one changing your Invisalign aligner to your next level of treatment, you only have to see your dentist or orthodontist about every 6 weeks.  Meaning you will spend less time waiting for and being treated by your provider.
  • You can see what your new smile will look like in the treatment plan that your dentist or orthodontist creates on the computer.

Always Consults Invisalign Orthodontist and NOT a General Dentist Who is Invisalign Certified. Why?

When calling an orthodontic office to make an appointment, ensure the office is strictly an office that specializes in braces and/or Invisalign. If the office provides additional services such as crowns, fillings, teeth cleaning, and so on, we recommend that you find another establishment that focuses primarily on Invisalign and/or braces. By doing so, you will be choosing an orthodontist that makes their living helping people obtain braces and/or Invisalign, assuring you that you are choosing a professional that knows exactly what they are doing.

To have the healthiest smile imaginable.

This is possible by choosing an orthodontist. Unlike general dentists, orthodontists must continue their education for at least two or more years via an accredited orthodontic residency program. Why? Because an orthodontist must dedicate their lives to improving their patients’ quality of life by helping their teeth and jaws to work in unison so they can speak, bite, and chew comfortably and effectively. As a bonus, teeth and jaws that work well always look great as well.

To both feel good and look good.

When you obtain help from an orthodontist, you are getting help from an expert who has dedicated their lives to understanding how your teeth, your jaws, and your facial muscles work. Therefore, if there is a problem with any of these areas, they will know exactly how to fix it and in the best way possible. A healthy mouth contributes to your overall healthy, and your appearance improves as well.

To get your bite right.

It’s no secret that your teeth are a very complex biological system. It is comprised of approximately 32 teeth, an upper and lower jaw, gums, and facial muscles, and if any of these areas seem problematic, it is an orthodontists’ goal to make it appear healthy and incredible. To achieve this, the orthodontist will align your mouth in such a way that optimal performance becomes reality for every area of the mouth. This will allow you to bite, chew, and speak normally.

To solve the problem.

When you look in the mirror, you may see six crooked front teeth and nothing more. However, when an orthodontist sees your six crooked front teeth, they see your crooked teeth and what the cause of the problem. Orthodontists use their education, experience, and expertise to find the heart of the problem when it comes to your mouth, and do their part to fix it permanently.

To address the big picture.

What’s the biggest reason for wanting a healthy smile? It’s to look dazzling. Your orthodontist wants that for you too – and you deserve it. An orthodontist will provide you with a healthy bite and smile that will last a lifetime, but to obtain this you must contact an orthodontist today. For an improvement to your life, health, happiness, and especially your smile, there is no wiser choice than choosing a knowledgeable orthodontist.
